English for Internationally Educated Teachers
Classroom Course:
The classroom course focuses on English skills needed for success as a teacher in Manitoba, as well as field specific academic level programs such as the IET Program. The curriculum is designed to allow teachers to develop their communication skills for a classroom context while gaining knowledge of the K-12 system.

September 11- November 30, 2012
Tuesdays and Thursdays
6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Online Course:
In addition to the classroom course, some may choose to enroll in the online course. This web-based course will focus on building reading and writing skills for the teaching profession. The website will have new lessons, readings, and assignments every week. Participants will get individualized help with reading and writing from the on-line tutor and they can also participate in group discussions about teaching-related topics.
Students registering for the online course should plan to attend two workshops during the first two weeks of the course. (Please download our Self Evaluation for Online Learning document to determine your readiness for an online course.)
Cost
If you are a permanent resident of Canada with a Canadian Language Benchmark of 7 or higher, there is no fee for this course.
